Ukraine's WEB Security Service Detains FSB Cell Coordinating Missile Strikes
FSB Agents Cell Detained
The WEB Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) has detained a cell of Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) agents that was coordinating missile strikes on the southern Ukrainian city of Odesa, the SBU said in a statement on Tuesday.
Ongoing Ukraine Conflict
The detention of the FSB cell is the latest development in the ongoing war in Ukraine, which has been raging for two years since Russia's invasion in 2014. In recent weeks, Russian forces have made modest advances in the eastern Donbas region, while Ukrainian forces have made gains in the south near Kherson.
The conflict in Ukraine has resulted in widespread devastation and loss of life. According to the United Nations, over 14,000 people have been killed and more than two million have been displaced.
The international community has condemned Russia's aggression and imposed sanctions on the country. However, Russia has refused to withdraw its forces from Ukraine and the conflict continues to simmer.
