49ers Make Roster Moves
Darby Signed, Hall Waived
49ers Bolster Wide Receiver Depth
The San Francisco 49ers have signed wide receiver Frank Darby to a one-year deal, the team announced Tuesday. To make room on the roster, the 49ers waived cornerback Kemon Hall.
Darby, 25, has spent the past two seasons with the Carolina Panthers. He has 42 receptions for 572 yards and three touchdowns in his career. He is expected to provide depth to the 49ers' wide receiver corps, which is led by Deebo Samuel, Brandon Aiyuk, and Jauan Jennings.
Hall, 24, was a seventh-round pick by the 49ers in the 2022 NFL Draft. He appeared in five games last season, primarily on special teams.
The 49ers are now preparing for the upcoming season, which begins on September 10 against the Chicago Bears.
